In 1945 New Orleans, two enslaved brothers, Elijah and Isaac, plot an escape from captivity. Elijah is determined and hopeful, while Isaac is haunted by consequence. As their plans take shape, Isaac's fears take hold of him, leading to a tragic turn of events that forever alters their brotherhood.

Filmed in the rugged landscapes of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa with period-accurate design and a poetic visual style, the production focused on silence, stillness, and atmosphere to reveal the brothers’ emotional divide and the cost of freedom.
